Originally from the San Francisco Bay Area, Danika began her dance training at Marin Ballet studying under Mikko Nissinen, Margaret Swarthout, and Cynthia Lucas. She continued her studies with intensive programs at Ballet Met, The Joffrey Ballet School, and the Rosella Hightower International School of Dance in Cannes, France. She studied further in New York City with Judith Fugate, Allegra Kent, Lourdez Lopez, and Barbara Sandonato.
In New York, she received her BA in dance/pre-med from Barnard College, Columbia University, graduating cum laude. She then traveled to Pittsburgh to dance with Bodiography Contemporary Ballet Company. She has had the opportunity to perform works by Donlin Foreman, Robert Garland, Martha Graham, Elisa Monte, Rebecca Stenn and others. She has performed works under the coaching of Virginia Johnson and Yuriko. Danika has also performed with LaDiego Dance Theater.
