Evgeny began his training at the Vaganova Academy of Russian Ballet.  His specialty there was Choreographic Arts. While studying at the Academy, he danced in numerous performances for the Academy, as well as Mariinsky Theatre, with which he toured as a company member to Japan, France and Italy.

In 2006,  he became a company member of Konstantin Tachkin St-Petersburg Theatre of the Ballet, where he danced in numerous performances, including pas de trios, Neapolitan dance in Swan Lake; The Blue Bird in Sleeping Beauty; Harlequin, pas de trios in The Nutcracker, Golden Idol in La Bayadère and others. During this time, Evgeny toured Great Britain, France, Japan, South Africa, Ireland, Brazil and Italy.
