Kristy grew up in Carpinteria, CA and began her training at Curtis Studio of dance. She then continued at Gustafson Dance (school of State Street Ballet) in Santa Barbara, then Boston Ballet School for two summers. Kristy went on to earn her Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Utah. Previously, she danced with State Street Ballet and has been a company member of San Diego Ballet company for 6 years. She says this company is like her home.

Only eight miles northeast of downtown, the park provides a quick, natural escape from the urban hustle and bustle.

Started in 1974, Mission Trails Regional Park has become one of the largest urban parks in the US.

It features over 40 miles of trails, boating, camping, informative hikes, and a state-of-the-art Visitor and Interpretive Center.

The park is a wonderful place to explore nature and learn about the people who once lived here.
