The organization of the San Diego Ballet includes founding director Robin Sherertz Morgan, former dancer with the original San Diego Ballet and New York City Ballet; co-director Javier Velasco, award-winning choreographer; ballet mistress and stage manager Ahita Ardalan Bergman, former dancer with Paris Opera Ballet, stage manager and assistant choreographer for the Ballet de Monte Carlo (under the Presidency of Princess Caroline of Monaco), and artistic assistant to Roland Petit at Ballet National Marseilles and lighting designer Philippe Bergman who toured Europe with Ballet National Marseille.
